We simply couldn’t put on this amazing event without our wonderful sponsors and partners. Not only have our main sponsors helped ensure the numbers adds up, they’ve also embraced the spirit of the Cobble Wobble with real enthusiasm for everything that makes it so special.

Where in the world?

Hand-drawn map of the Cobble Wobble course.

Starting at the base of Stony Street, the course takes a sharp turn onto Catherine Hill, climbing 179 yards before ending where the cobbles give way at the hill’s summit.

Flanked by 17th-century buildings and incredibly narrow, the route is as breathtaking to behold as it is challenging to ride. With thousands of cobbles, a shifting gradient, and that tight corner to navigate, the Cobble Wobble course is a true test of both strength and skill.

This year’s Poster

Illustration by Matt Wellsted (aka Fancy Studio)

“Imagine that the Cobble Wobble is the only thing going on in the world.”

Matt has illustrated every single Cobble Wobble poster since the very first event and — as ever — it’s a joy collaborating with him and seeing our ideas come to life.

My inspiration this year was that oh-so-cute “tiny planet” perspective you get from 360 cameras: a wonderfully warped little world where scale bends around the subject and nothing has to play by the normal rules.

Although the event takes place on a single cobbled hill, it’s woven into the fabric of Frome. Using this tiny-planet perspective allowed us to bring in various Frome landmarks in a way that celebrates the town we love.

And yes, a few crowd favourites have returned: Big Bird, the Cobble-Bot 3000, El Cobblo… and we’ve even included the correct number of cobbles. Honestly, you can count them!

Each year, once Matt has worked his magic, everything I’ve been imagining about the event suddenly becomes tangible. It’s the moment the whole thing really comes to life, and it lets me share the colour, atmosphere, and joyful personality of the event — the very things that make it so compelling.
